Basic Non-Medical Care:

 

-Assistance with ambulation, which is the process of moving between locations.  This includes walking or helping the recipient to walk with the support of a wheel chair, walker, cane or crutches also assisting a recipient out of bed. 

 

-Assistance with grooming: This includes combing/brushing of the recipient’s hair; shaving face, legs, and underarms; oral hygiene, as well as care of dentures, fingernail care and application of orthotics.

 

-Assistance with simple physical activity, this includes taking the recipient for a walk or passive, non-prescribed range of motion (ROM) exercise

 

-Meal preparation: This includes menu planning, storing, preparing and serving of food. 

 

-Laundry services: This includes washing, drying, and folding the recipient’s personal laundry and linens. 

 

-Light housekeeping: This includes washing dishes, cleaning recipient’s bed linens, dusting, and vacuuming. 

 

-Essential shopping: This includes prescription, medical supplies, and grocery pickup.
